You’re out in the war zone fighting for your life--

doing what you signed up for.

The one goal you have is 

getting back to your wife and kids--

telling yourself you need to push more.

Seeing things one should never see.

 

But that is part of the job.

 

Your leader reminds you  

“you got to do what you got to do.”

But it’s hard to focus 

when you see a running mob.

 

Will my family understand my flashbacks?

They support me, despite all weakness.

 

I am part of a good community.

Others everywhere are going through the same.

We bust out feelings and confide in each other.

Deep bonds and friendships for us to gain.

 

We are one. 

We are the military brothers.
